If you do have an amp with a remote wire, I believe you can loop from your batt+ wire to the remote wire input instead of running from the head unit.

Check and make shure the rcas are in the right spot on the headunit. Sub in /component in . Sub out/ component out, because if u have an older headunit they usualy made them with cheaper sub outputs which would make your mids make a clicking noise and your sub to buzz

Pull your headunit out and look at the rca's . Make share the rca outs on the back of the headunit are correctly plugged in. For example. Sub out to sub amp. Component out to component amp. If the sub rca out on the headunit is plugged into the component amp it will make the crackling noise
