Right now I have my amps mounted to the back seat and it just doesn't fit right, I was wondering if mounting them to the box with two 10"s is a bad idea due to the vibes.
I have an alternator whiine in my system and the installers said that it's as easy as installing a noise suppressor for it. Will it affect my sound quality? How much does one cost?
Will I hear a diff in the SPQ?
Will it get rid of the annoying bumper buzz everytime my box thumps?
Will it put a hole in my wallet?
Will I be able to put it in myself?
Thanks a lot in advance.
I soldered a 6pin DIN connector/ adapter for my factory Volvo H.U. into rca's for hookup to an aftermarket amp. The RCA's are connected with a common ground, the amp is a "floating ground" amp, whatever that means... Is there a problem here? IS there a common -> floating ground adapter?
Cambridge soundworks make a speaker system which runs off of a digital fiber-optic out from digital soundcards on PC's. This wouild be the same technology in your Bose system. I don't see how there wouldn't be a setup for an all digital system, or perhaps hook up a digital/analog converter.
I have to power two 10" subs and have the choice to use a Jensen 125 Watt x 2 amp or a Hifonics 75 Watt x 2. I know the Jensen has more power, but which will be the better choice considering that Hifonics is a better amp?
Thanks in advance
I just got a new one. It sounds very clean, but I am new to the scene so I really haven't compared it to much. In a few days, I will show the setup to my audiofilic buddies and they'll let me know, and I'll get back to you. ok? ok.
If there is an air leak in my bass box, does it make a Big difference? I siliconed the insides but where the speaker is mounted a lot of air sneaks out.
I am new to the board and notice you guys using a few acronyms that I am not familiar with. Could you let me in on exactly what is meant by SPL, SQ etc....
Thanks a lot
I have an OLD JSE 125x2 amp pushing my two 10"s in the back. If I have a better amp with 75x2 instead of the 125x2 the Jensen is putting out, will it sound better even though the watts are lower? The new amp is a Hifonics.
I just got a set of these, two 5 1/4" and two 6x9's for my int. speakers... I think I got a good deal on them, but I don't hear much about them on the board... Well??????????? What do you think?????
