Pioneer DEH-80PRS...thinking of switching to network mode

Interesting thought. I hadn't considered that...

Pioneer DEH-80PRS...thinking of switching to network mode

These are custom 4" (oops I said 4.5" previously) by Hybrid Audio Technologies, paired with Vifa tweeters and custom crossovers designed for these drivers and this door in question (Porsche 928). Going back and re-reading the advertised specs, this setup should be good down to 100Hz, so maybe I...

Pioneer DEH-80PRS...thinking of switching to network mode

Interesting thought...they're only 4.5" shallow-mount drivers...I was thinking maybe I was just at their limits...

Pioneer DEH-80PRS...thinking of switching to network mode

****...although the more I think about it, the less sure I am that this would do something significantly different than what I can already do in standard mode.

Why so much hate for Alpine deck's with Navi?

"Everything" being built in is fine if you want "everything." I personally like the fact that I don't HAVE to buy everything if I don't need it. Of course, that also made installation a pain in the butt... jds

Why so much hate for Alpine deck's with Navi?

I have the W505 w/ Nav...I love it. The Nav felt a little awkward to me after using the OEM Nav in a Land Rover, but I'm used to it now. I've had only one case where the thing needed to be reset because it locked up. I need to find out if there have been any updates...if not, then that is the...

Musician needs a head unit to check mixes. help?

To be honest, from the perspective of checking your mixes you are going to want to know how they sound to "most people." Most people have a factory stereo in their car. The farther you get from the norm, the less you're going to know about how your stuff sounds to your average listener. I...

So, My girlfriend wants me to go to the gym with her

Of course, there's no one right way to do it. The right way is the way that works for you. I'm just saying, don't call it a ripoff...its not. It works, if you stick with it. You have to understand what and who its for though...like I said, if your goal is to be Mr. Universe, this is not the...

does the voltage of the RCA outs really matter?

Higher voltage pre-outs gives you more protection against noise being introduced in the signal. That's it. I'm not buying the bit about the amps "not working as hard." Its an advantage over lower voltage pre-outs for the noise reason, but in and of itself is not a predictor of superior sound...

So, My girlfriend wants me to go to the gym with her

Well, not to go to far down this path, but P90X is not for people trying to win Mr Olympia titles. Its not a body building program, not in that sense. It works, and works well, and is not a limited time only program. And, it is not a "gimmick." Its not for everyone, they are very up front...

So, My girlfriend wants me to go to the gym with her

You're going to need a whole set. There are a lot of different exercises. That's the beauty of the Powerblocks. They're adjustable, mine range from 5lbs to 45 lbs, and depending on the exercise, I use every setting. jds

So, My girlfriend wants me to go to the gym with her

P90X rocks. Even with me being a horrible dieter, I'm one month into round 2 of the thing and there are obvious results. I'm wearing jeans I thought I would have had to throw out, and athletic performance, be it weights or basketball (my activity of choice) has improved greatly. For dumbells...

Pioneer Premier Pioneer AVIC-F90BT vs Alpine IVA-w505

I just finished installing the W505. I got it for around $800, and I lucked out on the Navi and got it for $199 from Sound Advice, a local stereo shop that was going out of business. I'm REALLY happy with it so far. I don't know how the F90bt is in this regard, but I remember some complaints...

2DIN DVD+NAVI headunit and perfect sound???

The Alpine does not have DD/DTS...at least, I haven't seen any way to do it. It just has front/rear/sub outs.
