Is it true you need to "break in subs"? If so, how long, where, how? How much sound? Why is this necessary? thanks- bumpin

I need some help, or information. How essential are SEALED speaker boxes on large handling subs (ei 1600 watt)? Do you have to have multi- channeled amps so you can hook more than one speaker up to it? What are / is ohms? What are crossovers? I am sure this question has alot to do with opinion...
