Ok on the AB amps, they have made my list. I've also seen quite a bit of the PPI 1800.1, seems most people like this as a budget amp. (let the hate begin) MB Quart has a 2k amp...Hifonics Brutus line?

Ok, forget the 4 gauge wire! I'll do the upgrade to 0 wire. With the wire upgrades what else will i need to upgrade to properly feed the power of 2000 watts? Going in a '07 Impala SS, not sure what size alt in it.

What was the size and the tuning of the enclosure you've used? And what would you charge to build and ship? If you have that amp in stock, could we do a package deal? You can pm if you prefer.

MyLows, I've seen you throw some nice deals. What you got for me, and how much? I saw one for almost $450.00!!! No way I can spend that. Also, this is going on 1 sub. Is this not too much wattage on those choices?

I was looking at the ppi, but im "trying" to not have to go with 0 gauge wire. Can i run it without changing from my 4 gauge?

Looking for good budget amp to really push 1 15" AB VFL or 1 15" HDS315? Looking to stay under $ 250.00 +/-.

I was thinking the same at first, but I cant find ANY arguments against the Obsidians. Google, Yahoo answers,YouTube. ..Nowhere. To me that says something, and probably going to have 2 Obsidian 12's in my trunk!?!

I'm in the exact same boat! I've narrowed my search to those brands as well. The HDS312 boasts 1200rms at $140.00. The Obsidian boasts 600rms at a few $ cheaper. Do I: a) underpower the Hds, b) overpower the Obsidian? I'm thinking it would be better to "overpower" and run with the gain set...

I've run 2 Kenwood 12" 400wrms on a 9105d @ 2ohm. That's 900 watts total in a sealed box in the trunk of an '07 Impala. Sound was beautiful once I replaced all the factory with Kenwood 6.5 components and tweeters in front and 5 way 6x9's in the back. As good as the subs sound, its not enough...

Thanks T3mpest. I've checked them out on-line. I havent got the amp yet. Is there an amp you and NastyImpala suggest for those?

What about the HDS312, 2 of them. Same price, twice the power?
