I would have to agree... go ported if you have the room. I put my subs in too big of a box, only by like .5 cu. ft. for both subs, and they LOVE around the 50Htz range but get down any lower than that and they extrude bad. Other than that though I would say go ported. Wish I did...

Hey, I have heard from a few people that the voltage going to the amp from the HU makes a huge difference. Is this true??? My HU is putting out 2V out the preouts, I think. I was woundering if it would make a huge difference if I bought a new HU that put out 4.4V. THX BS

the amp is suppose to be 1200 max, 600 RMS at 4 ohm. I have the subs wired up so they are 4 ohm together and the amp is bridged for this resistance. So it is 600 RMS, theoreticaly.

yea... The box that I have right now is 3 cu ft sealed one chamber for 2 12's. I am gonna put the 2 pieces in it about 2 inches or so apart. This is to cut down on the air Volume in the box, that and I can put my neon in between the plexi's. I was just wondering if 1/4" would be thik enough...
