i have alpine type rs and the rubber rings that came with them dont fit under the sub they fit on top over the screws...

will this cause a problem or damamge the speakers?

Are the rubber rings that come with subs important? will they damage the subwoofer or sub box if they arent installed between the subwoofer and box?
