Below are pics of a cooked SS ref 5 amp, around 10 yrs old. Just died on me. Inspection reveals 2 (totally) blown caps. Question is, are the cooked caps the cause of the problem or only a symptom? Overview: Input section, blown up cap, literally: Maybe the output section? Cap melted...

Thanks, it's mostly wall art at this point. Contemplating getting that channel fixed but it's only 80w x1, and probably not worth the $$. I may install it into a passenger van project, who knows.

DCA-3500 5-channel. Cosmetically in almost perfect shape, but the 5th channel (sub channel) has an output problem. Other 4 chnls sound amazing.

Are your amps really one in front & one in back? if they fit under the seat, do them both up there. Otherwise I'd do both in the trunk. Run a single 4g to a distro block, then 8 g to each amp - that's all you'll need. (2) 8g grounds to the same spot in the trunk. 16g speaker wire should...
