Hmm maybe invest in a new box instead of subwoofer? Found a guy that'll build me a custom box but i can't really afford 200 bucks right now. Any companya that build good prefabs? I have searched with no luck.

It is indeed a prefab but i have measured it and from the best I can tell it is the size and tuning i stated. So maybe a baffle and put a ten in the box as i don't have time with two jobs to make a new box.

The e is 35 bucks cheaper and from legit dealer unlike the type r which comes from 3rd party dealer.

Will be powered by an alpine mrv-500 putting out 500 watts at 2 ohms. Box will be 1.75cft ported tuned to 35hz in the trunk of a 1994 buick roadmaster. Wondering which would be louder and sound better? As of right now i have an alpine bassline 12 powered by the same amo in the ported box...

my alpine type s 12's are in about .85 cf but i have alot of polyfill and it sounds ok but they are alil peaky

just keep ur sonys i had one p5 ten ported and ran it at 600 watts rms for over 4 months and it sounded ok and was fairly loud most people dont have a fxcking clue what there knocking when there knocking something yeah sony is not that great but there p5 subs are ok if u ask me
