so i have a rockford fosgate bd500 amp that can do 400 watts at 4ohms and 600 watts at 2 ohms. if a get a 12" subwoofer that is dual 4ohms, I can wire the dual 4ohms to 2 ohms so I can run 600 watts to the sub. I'm I correct? Or am i not correct?

I have a rf bd500 amp that ran 1 10 inch alpine typ R. I was thinking about going to a 12" sub but not sure what sub to buy. My amp probably puts out 500 watts and was wondering what sub would be good for this amp. i'm looking more into SQL.
