They are IRFZ22N's.
hooked it to my boss onyx and the same thing happened.
ground is straight it the body and battery is feeding 14V.
At first i thought that my capacitor was giving it too much power, or that it shorted it.
I wired it in without the capacitor and a new FET and the same one...
as i was soldering the new one one i checked the resistance and continuity of the gateway resistors and every capacitor. Could it be that the transistor is grounding to the heatsink underneath?

the fet that is second from the left is the one that popped. looks like it did it again.

Hello,
I have a PPI pc275 that is at least ten years old. I recently replaced a fet transistor that had popped due to a bad ground. Whenever I hook my 12" alpine rseries, the amp completely turns off. Not just in protected. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
