    They are IRFZ22N's. hooked it to my boss onyx and the same thing happened. ground is straight it the body and battery is feeding 14V. At first i thought that my capacitor was giving it too much power, or that it shorted it. I wired it in without the capacitor and a new FET and the same one...

    as i was soldering the new one one i checked the resistance and continuity of the gateway resistors and every capacitor. Could it be that the transistor is grounding to the heatsink underneath?

    Hello, I have a PPI pc275 that is at least ten years old. I recently replaced a fet transistor that had popped due to a bad ground. Whenever I hook my 12" alpine rseries, the amp completely turns off. Not just in protected. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
