For the 6x9's, try bass blocks. For about $10 they block out everything below 300Hz and will make your speakers sound better and last longer. You can get em at Best Buy.

Id try fiberglass, but hes not paying jack crap. Oh well, 1/2" it is.

Im about to build two underseat boxes for some Sony 10s to fit underneath the back seat of a 98-99 chevy silverado ext cab. Could I use 1/2" mdf to get as much air volume as possible or would it not be practical? Thanks

Since all you need are the two power cables and the ground, save your self the money on a harness and just use a multi tester. Use your existing ground wire, and (with the key off) touch each wire at a time. If you find one giving you power with the key off, thats the yellow, or continuos power...

Just find the fuse for your radio, and tie it in with the fuse.

try a jensen for the mids (affordable and sound great).
