It turned out that the amp was bad. I replaced it with a 12" inch Kicker using the XM-4060GTX and my 16 year old son is happy as a can be.

I was given some equipment by a friend of mine and am totally confused. He gave me two amps, both Sony Xplods and I am unsure of which to use. One is a XM-4060GTX and the other is a XM-502Z. The sub is a Audiobahn AW831T. Which amp would be a better match for this sub? I'm also confused...
