    Boat Subwoofer Help

Ok I get how your making the box work now. Just a thought but a lot of people put there subs under the port and or starboard dashes. If the sub will be in direct sun light a lot I would go with a marine subwoofer, the marine sub woofers surround is rubber based and will hold up to the uv in...

    Boat Subwoofer Help

First question is are you a magician..... because I wanna know how you got a 12 inch sub threw a 9 inch hole lol..... all joking aside I'm a little confused about your setup and how your box is situated. If you like to play your music loud and want your bass to keep up with your other speaker a...

Need Help with sub/amp setup for boat!

I would run that amp at 1 ohm you will get the most power from that amp and sundown subs are under rated a bit and many people run double the rms. Also with having more power on tap than required it will give you a lot of head room. Use this diagram to wire each channel to 1 ohm Subwoofer...

Need Help with sub/amp setup for boat!

There aren't any quality differences between a D2 and a D4 they offer those two because of different wiring needs of the customers both will perform the same. I did a quick search and found a decent amp that will keep your costs down and not sacrifice performance there are many other options...

Need Help with sub/amp setup for boat!

What the difference between the D2 and D4 is the voice coil resistance. The D2 means there are two voice coils at 2 ohms apiece and D4 means there are two voice coils with 4 ohms of resistance. To help with wiring and understanding wiring use this link Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams | Sonic...

Need Help with sub/amp setup for boat!

Wow kory she's a beauty, what year look to be about a 1984. I see you take very good care of your toys so I have no problem suggesting car audio equipment instead of marine. The two subs that will be exposed id watch the surround closely for deterioration. As for speaker I do tend to suggest...

    Little subs with BIG sound

I like how some ppl say the x-10 will be louder some say the two 8's is this because the x8 hasn't yet become very common. I've heard the ct sounds meso is a monster to but that's just talk and we all know how that goes.

    Little subs with BIG sound

CT sounds meso 8's crossed my mind also. I'm kind of gun shy with the 8's because I've nvr really messed with them before always 10's and larger. This being a project I've had in mind for a few years, just had to find the boat. Plus two 8's under the bow adds a little more wow factor I think.

    Little subs with BIG sound

The ridges are what ruined it for me. I do like the classic surround look better then the x8 surround, it is a bit crazy but with a motor that big it's kind of a must I do like the look of the new surround on the new SA8v3.

    Little subs with BIG sound

Sorry guys I read that post to fast and just read 2508 the SW numbers do look good and I've always wanted to try them out but wtf were they thinking with that surround. I know it has it's benefits but it makes it look like some thing you could buy at walmart that's just my two cents. If it...
