if possible i would like to resolve it over the internet before i waste gas driving. what would you say would be the most probable cause for the loss in power ?

please. so what do you think. should i rewire so that the cap is cut out of the equation and see if im still getting the loss in sound, it would be nice to only run one amp. preferably the P.A. amp its a 2200 peak 450watt rms per channel, thats more than ample for my subs but it just doesnt...
