Sorry for the long delay haha. I haven't heard the ssd but I've seen them in videos and heard they are awesome subs. I wouldnt put too much thought into the whole 600 RMS vs 1000 rms thing the sundkwn might as well be rated at 1000 I've got mine on 1250+ each before rise and they gobble it up...

As they stated the subs have no bearing on weather you can run .5 ohm other than the fact you have to get the correct coil configeration to be able to actually wire to a .5 load....the only thing that matters is that your amp can safely run at .5 and weather your electrical is up to par.
