BUMP Would upgrading my ground wire from 9ga to 5ga to match my battery wire help any? Also today the amp shut off after playing at a little loud volume for like 4min, then kicked back on.

I can get a Power Akoustik MOFO 12 for $150 (obo), is that a good price? It's NIB. I heard they slam pretty hard, but it's still a cheap brand isn't it? Maybe I could even drop it to 100, or cheaper with a little tradage.

Could it be because I'm running 5ga to the battery, but the ground is only 9ga? I thought you are supposed to run the same size on both of them.

Yeah tomorrow i'm going to rego over it all. Relocate the ground and everything. One thing might be a problem, I could not find and 4ga spade terminals anywhere around here, so I used a 10ga for the power wire, which is 5ga wire, so it didn't really all crimp into it, but i taped it all up...

I'll try reading the voltage again tomorrow also, I thought 14v was a bit odd. It was 12v with the engine off, and 14 with it on.

Yeah, it feels really hot when I'm done, like it burns my hand. I had it mounted on my box when it blew the first time, today I put it on the backseat and I have the same results.
