Hi grizzly, Do you miss the BBE from your 9857? On my deck, I find it makes a pretty big difference on improving the SQ (although I don't have an H701 to play with)... As I understand it, BBE does some harmonic shifting to "expand" the bandwidth of songs, which is useful for compressed audio...

Also, how's the Sirius sound? I have that with my 9857, but the compression was so bad on the SQ I canceled my subscription after only 1 month... Does the MX expander help? I have the Alpine SIRALP1 tuner BTW...
