Also... as far as these two amps, which one would be the best choice for my application. I like the fact that the Alpine would match all my equipment, but the Kicker has a tad more power. (I get employee discount so price wouldn't matter so much)...

well they claim no bigger than 1.ft so i won't exceed that. but that's not really the type of help i'm looking for.

I'm curious to know what the differences between, for example, a box that's .85 cubic feet as opposed to one that's 1.0 cubic ft. Like does one make it hit cleaner or make it 'louder'. The recomended size for a sealed box on the Type R is .7-1.0. I'm not looking for all out tuned sound here...
