hey do you mind drawing me up a box for 4 sa12's. I have 49 inches to work with in width. trying to keep it around 7 cubes not counting the port. ill be running about 1000 to each sub. its going in the rear of a 2010 Tahoe with no 3rd row seats this is what I have now

I just realized my port size is way off (not just in the drawing). I don't think I can build it that size and have enough room for the port

yeah I didn't scale the port. I think on my torres printout it is 4h-14w-11L

well this is what I came up with in paint. looks like it will work, just going to be tight. I ran the numbers through torres so the air space is dead on tuned to 34hz

ok my question is, can 4 sa 12's fit it the face of my box is 49x20. I think the outside gasket on a sa12 is 12 1/2 so side by side that would be 50 inches puls the 3/4 on wood on both sides. but since its 20 inches high can I stagger them and make them fit like the pic below

I have a ct sounds 2500.1 on the way. spec are 1 Ω @ 12.8v 2500w rms, 3900w RMS at 1 ohm 14.4v. I was planning on running 3 sundown sa-12's. with that amp, 3 extra batteries and a 160 amp alt. would it be ok to run 4 of the sa-12's. I have plenty of room for air space.

so maybe what was happening was with 2 batteries it had plenty of power and wasn't seeing a load so it was dropping the voltage because I wasn't being used?

that's about what it seems to do, what kind of car is it. I have 2010 Tahoe

when I said I disconnected it, I meant I disconnected it from the alternator so it would not be hooked up anymore. then I check the voltage and it was in the mid 12's. I haven't put it on charge yet, I was going to do it tomorrow at work

ok I was able to find a smart charger here in town, when I went to leave the house, I disconnected the d3400 and checked the voltage and it was 12.3. this is throwing me for a loop

what do I need to keep and eye on. from what I can tell from the sheet that came with the battery is not to charge it at more the 2.4 volts per cell, which is 14.4 volts right??? so don't most all battery chargers charge to 14.4 or do they put out more than that ?
