I have stock electric with130 amp alt so i dont think i want to run too low. In fact i thought that the shredder would be better because it runs an ohm higher at the same rms. Think the difference of 1 vs 2 ohms would make it worth it?

to my understanding the extra batteries are not necessary unless i plan on running the system with the vehicle off. again, to my understanding, a regular old battery will do (at 2200 rms) as long as i have enough amps from the alternator(s) going to the battery needed to keep the battery...

any idea where i could look for more info on installing an extra alternator, or on this topic in general? ive got a 97 mountaineer. big 5.0 but idk how easy itd be to mount another alt in there.
