i measured my alpine's pre-outs.. please answer this question

This is correct as I have been told, the Alpine sub preout only makes 4volts at max hu volume and at max sub preout level. Check the front and rear outs, they should rate much better. Bill3508

    Setting time correction by ear

I measured the distances first and got the correct difference setting and put that in my 9835. It sounds to much better. I tweaked it a little bit by ear until it sounded like everything was even. I don't see how you could not use it if its an adjustment on your hu. Otherwise your left side...

    Alpine MRD-M301/M501 question

I turn mine off on the 301. You can enhance bass at certain frequencies with it, but its better to just have it off. Bill3508

    AmplifierLink + CDA-9835??

I did not use ipersonalize. Just set the crossover values in your headunit by holding down menu button to get to the crossover setting. Bill3508

    AmplifierLink + CDA-9835??

Which amp do you have, mine is the MRD-M301, running a JL 10W3 at 2 ohms. My amp settings are input switch to 4 volt, input 0, gain 0, bass boost off, Low pass set at 80/24( used the amps lowpass instead of headunit sounded better that way). Subsonic filter off(sealed box for me), Eq off, and...

    AmplifierLink + CDA-9835??

Heres what you do. If you hit menu and go to aplifier link you can select your two presets on the amp, 1 or 2. If you hold down menu and go into your crossover, eq, time correction, etc, menu and go to amplifier link you can change your bass and amp settings. I can change my bass setting...

    alpine cda-9835 crossovers...question

The 3 way setting does have a setting for the highest frequencies, but I'm still not certain you can do what you are wanting with just the 9835 crossover. Hopefully others will chime in. Bill3508

    alpine cda-9835 crossovers...question

You've got the 3 way setting with the 9835 but I don't know if that would protect you good enough from damaging your tweeter. I would just run the correct passive crossover as its designed and set you hu crossover appropriately. My 9835 is set on 2 way as I could not get the 3 way to sound the...

Does Alpine MRD-M501 really require 4 gauge power/ground?

The 9835 sub control goes from 0 to 15. I do have the KCE-510M but I does not work real well. Sometime when you hit the button to go to alplifier link it will not go into the setting format but stays on amp 1(named amp). I can select my preset settings on the amp of 1 or 2 though, and see...

    Infinity Reference series

I think they are okay, but I would pay the extra few dollars for the Kappa series. Very clean and can handle penty of power. Bill3508

Does Alpine MRD-M501 really require 4 gauge power/ground?

They are supposed to be 4 volts, but the subout sure isn't. I've got the MRD-M301 and this is how I have it set up. First my normal listening volume on the 9835 is around 22-24, but I can go all the way to 35 without any distortion. If you don't keep the volume level around this level on the...

    So I bought a CDA-9833....

I don't think there is anything wrong with your amp. It should be able to handle the 4v preouts easily, I believe they are rated to 8V. US Acoustics are not high dollar amps but they are good amps. I'm running the US 4080, even older then yours and it sounds great. Running Infinity Kappa 6.5...
