ahh s***, only thing i have remotely close thats available is an hk401sx, its the biggest amp i have thats not being used and its just 1800 at 1/2 ohm

I got one of these from a friend in a deal, when i put power to it, the heat sink on the side gets hot, everything lights up but nothing works, it dont do anything except get hot...... i tore it apart and looked at the motherboard where both the heat sinks attach to and nothing was black...

then whats the rule of thumb when dealing with ohm loads, do 2 4 ohm loads not wire up to 2 ohms parallel anymore?

if your sub is dual 4 ohm..............wire + to + and - to - for a 2 ohm load..........hook the + coming from the sub into the + side of the amp and same for - add power ground and signal to your amp and let her sing

theyd all have to be all dual 4 ohm subs coils in series subs parallel

Well, you obviously need to rip everything out and see where the majic smoke icame from........next time, buy something better and quit maxing out your stereo
