    Ported box for SA 12

I was messing around on the RE box calculator and come up with this, what do you guys think? Also, where should I position the cutout?

I think I might go with those since I'm only going to be using one sub I would prefer it be a 12. Thanks Also the site lists 1 cube for a sealed box, it that optimal?

The amp I am going to use is a Pioneer GM-D8400M which is "1200 watts", so probably what 400 watts (? site says 600 watts) at 2 ohms. I don't care if it is new or used, probably prefer used for a better value. Car audio is not a huge deal to me so I'm not willing to drop thousands of dollars...

So what should I be looking at? Edit: I could get 1.25 cubes pretty easily.

After closely examining the box a little more I have determined that the box is junk. So since I am going to need to build a new box I don't want to waste the time of building a new box for the comps. I am planning on just using a single 10 or 12 but really not sure what sub to go with. I do not...

I was going to do that I am just worried about head room back there, you don't think it will be a big deal? Also, do you think I would be satisfied with one 10 or 12 of higher quality?

So long story short I allowed myself to get ripped off by a stereo shop a few months ago. I ended up getting two 10 in Kicker Comp subs under the back seat in my F150 in a sealed box with a Pioneer 1200 watt amp and a Sony head unit. I have not been very satisfied with the subs. They seem to be...

Help me select my first sub setup!

I'm really considering taking up mylow10s on his offer. How close are the manufacturers recommended volumes usually? For the Fosgates the recommended volume per speaker is .625 cuft plus .06 cuft for displacement, for a total of .685 cuft. Could I get away with .65 cuft per side polyfilled? It...

Man, this is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be! Which model Dayton would you guys suggest? I tried looking them up but there were several different models.

My bad I was looking at the wrong sub box specs, it has .95 cuft per side. This box would require a seat lift. Max cuft for the Fi X12s is 1.18 (with displacement), would .95 cuft per side with polyfill be sufficient and worth the extra money?

Help me select my first sub setup!

No thats the min. Max is 1.18. Ya I'll just stick with 10s. So what's better between 2 ohm or 4 ohm? I'm guessing it has to do with the amp and way it will be wired. So with 2 Fi X10s I would need 800rms total. Would it be better to get say a 1000rms amp and turn it down? Is the setup this guy...

If I used polyfill would 12s work? The X12s need .68 cuft incorporating displacement. Or would 10s with more space sound better?

Help me select my first sub setup!

Ok so I've been looking at some of the subs mentioned and am most interested in the Fi X10s. For the X10 is has listed a volume of .25-.5 cuft, which seems really small. It has a displacement of .06 cuft so that would still only be .56 cuft max (per the specs listed on their site). These sound...
