Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200-1D cutting out after 5 minutes of playing

I did some double checking of all my power connections all the way to the battery under the hood and quess what I found, I had a loose connection at the in line fuse under the hood. When I would draw heavy power at my amp, the voltage intermittently would drop to 11 volts for long enough to make...

Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200-1D cutting out after 5 minutes of playing

I will check in the morning. I have a theory... Is it possible that since I used oversized 4 gauge for the power wire and cheap a$$ undersized 4 gauge for the ground that could be the problem? I ordered all new oversized 1/0 power and ground wire from skyhigh tonight so maybe that will help?

Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200-1D cutting out after 5 minutes of playing

All my connections are tight. If you look at this picture you can see where my gain is set... Just above 3. Is starts to clip at around 4 so I backed it down. It is the most sensitive gain I've worked with before. https://ibb.co/iUEsqd

Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200-1D cutting out after 5 minutes of playing

I have a Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200-1D running 2 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2's (dual 4 ohm voice coils) @ 1 ohm. The amp starts cutting in and out at high volume after about 5 minutes of playing. I have a second battery in the trunk and the amp is installed in a cooling rack I built for it. It is...

Problem with my head unit. Popping sound...

Ok, borrow me one. I don't have a single 4ohm speaker. I'll see if I can scrounge one up tomorrow.

Problem with my head unit. Popping sound...

The power is spliced into my 4gauge that runs to my trunk. The ground is ran to small self tapping screw directly to the body. (All paint scraped away.) I have just been reading about this everywhere online and it sounds to me like the head unit just can't handle the 2 ohm impedance of these...

Problem with my head unit. Popping sound...

Max is 63. I turn it that high cause they are so quiet. I know they are 85rms and 100rms so I figured they were so quiet because they are so underpowered. Deck is 22rms. I just went and pulled the deck out to make sure all the speakers were in phase (and they were). Then, again, I unhooked all...

Problem with my head unit. Popping sound...

I ran my own ground a few days ago thinking that was the problem but it changed nothing. With this new pioneer deck it starts cutting out at about 40 volume and if I let it keep cutting out it goes into protection and shuts down. Like I said earlier, I unhooked one speaker at a time and it...

Problem with my head unit. Popping sound...

So is there any way to run these speakers without getting a separate amp? Is this a common problem? Why on Earth would they be 2 ohm instead of 4?
