    ok so i check the cap when the car is on or the radio is it reads 12.1 when the car is completely off very very dimly it shows a ready of 18.8 any ideas on what taht is?

    a power acoustik 500 watt dual channel amp and a dual 12 sub(had a p miller bazooka but was old and froze on me using till i get my kicker)

    when i first hooked it up it was at 12 volts but its sat in the car for a couple of hours when i went out it was 18 volts i just got it today i would hate to just throw it away its hooked up correctly from the diagrams i've looked at but.

    when i just play the radio it does go down but when i when to leave i seen it was 18.9 and i dont know if its working right are they all supposed to be 12 volts or do some hold more

    Ok guys i just bought a capacitor and it is currently hold 18.9 volts if this helps the capacitor is a pyramid-cap160dbl-1-6-farad i'm not sure how much it should hold if anyone could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated thank you
