i have 4 gauge power and ground wire.....what is a dmm...right now i think that the amp is gettin hot and cutting off becuase the cooler it is the the longer it will go... i have it mounted on the back of my sub box with the seats down...what can i do if the amp is gettin to hot....if i cant fix...

After about 2 to 3 minutes on a pretty high volume the no sound will come out of the subs but the power light on the amp stays on...after a few seconds, sound comes out of the subs again for about 3 seconds and kicks back off and so on and so on... but if i leave it around half way it will...

Im having around the same problem but mine only comes with the subs..the sound will kick off in the subs if its turned up high after about 2 to 3 minutes but if i leave it it about half way it stays on for a whole lot longer..i thought it was the ground wire too.. soo i put a bigger ground wire...
