it runs from my head unit to the trunk, not especially that long. and yes thats what i was just about to do actually, i have to find my dmm to check the wire comin out of the hu before i do that though

should i be using like a butt connector to connect the remote wire to the head unit, i didnt have one so i just ghetto taped it for now lol but i dont see why it wouldnt work at all?

its a kenwood xc590. i know its not the antenna wire. ill see if i can get a pic when i pull it out again tomorrow, ill also try using a dmm tomorrow as well

hooked everything up today, go to turn the car on, amp doesnt turn on. works when i connect the remote wire to the power wire but from the head unit it doesnt work:confused: i duno what could be messed up lol i know the amp is fine, any suggestions?
