About the certain RF subs,....the RF punch HX2 is probably their best sub. The power Hx2 is horrible on sound quality and is pretty much for competition purposes. I don't think their Punch z is very good at all, but the HE/HE2/HX2 models are all very solid subs.

look at his signature, at the bottom it says he has 2 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2's as the sub that he has. The sub he talks about in his post the RF2412 or whatever is the Punch Z, not the HX2, that is my point. I just don't know why he has HX2 listed under his signature

Hmm tell me where to get a Type R for 150$ . Thats tough to say man, I can't think of any subs that cheap that take that many watts RMS, my sub is 400 rms and cost me about 200, just a little less. Maybe someone else knows

My two picks for a SQ sub would be the Infinity Perfect and Alpine Type R

For really really cheap subs, Sony Xplods are at best okay in my opinion. Compared to the quality you can get with the money you're willing to spend though, they're just trash. From what I hear the best bang for your buck subs are the Infinity Reference, you might want to check those out...

yeah good choice with the head unit, RF's are nice. I think you could do better with the speakers, theres defintiely some better ones out there like Boston Acoustics, Infinity, MB quarts, diamond audio, but then i guess it depends on your budget. Good luck with your system

I'm not real partial to Kenwood subs, especially the tornados, i don't think they sound very good, but with 3 12s i think it should sound alright. Im not sure about what amp to push those, you should look at something like the new kenwood excelon amps, depending on your budget

Well it looks like you are not too concerned about sound quality but more towards SPL. Defintiely go with the Punch HX2s instead of the power, its just not worth it to go with the power in my opinion. Both subs are basically designed to turn heads and you'll do that just fine with the Punch...

yes the THX sub test is crazy, I only have one sub and after the song i have a headache. Some other good bass songs are three six mafia slob on my knob, Nelly EI, country grammar, Ludacris- Saturday (ooh ooh) just to name a few

RF power hit **** hard. I heard 2 power 15s and my eyes were watering. It depends on what you're looking for, if you want sound quality, go Punch, if you want to win SPL competitions and move air like a mofo then go with the Power hx2s
