    tube amp question

and a recording, unless a live recording, is always what the artist wants it to sound like. So, if you only like live, you shouldn't listen to albums that aren't live. a live show, and an album are two totally different concepts from most artists POV.

I guess that makes some sence, but tubes sound more live than solid state to me. and the lip-synced comment?

please explain your live vs. recording comment as it pertains to our discussion, or better yet, the lip-synced compaired to tubed amp comment.

    tube amp question

This is so ridiculous that I can't even imagine where I would start. A lip-synced concert and listening to an album through a class A tubed amplifier aren't related in ANY WAY. I mean, the whole "I would rather listen live" comment was pointless enough, but this is awe inspiring in its...

    tube amp question

what's the point of making it sound worse if you can make it sound better? and if you can get clapton to play some Cream songs for me in person right now, that would be awesome, and I'm sure better than my Grado headphones here at work.

    tube amp question

so, do you think that eric clapton would listen to a tubed amplifier? I've recorded albums, and I prefer to listen to them on tubed amps. it sounds more like when we were in the studio listening to 2" tape through a trident (tubed) board, and tubed amps. The whole point of building a home...

    tube amp question

    tube amp question

ok, I'm not a car audio guy, but I am a musician and a vintage Hi-Fi fan. I can normally tell the difference, but I've heard non-tubed amps (not digital but still analogue) that tricked me. Tube warmth is not distortion. that is just retarded. Tubes do distort, but depending on the tube this...

    got robbed... little help?

am I asking a question with no answer or just a stupid question? I've posted these kind of questions in a couple audio forums, and I just get ignored. I would like to learn more about what my options are here.

    got robbed... little help?

So, my car was broken into, and my stereo stolen. Not the first time. I've decided to leave the hole in the dash, get 4 chan amp for my 5.25's and my 4x6's, and run a portable mp3 player. I don't know much about car audio amps. I know a little about amps in general, as I do PA and stuff, but...
