    Well with my seat all the way back (I'm a tall guy). I measured about 6.5" at the bottom, and 3.5" at the top for a wedged shaped box (about 19" high max). Most of the normal 10" subs I've seen are a bit too long or deep (considering the thickness of the MDF as well). Maybe I'm missing...
