    Alpine MRD1005 or Alpine PDX1.1000 for IDMAX 12 D2?

The PDX amp has the same output power at 2 or 4 ohms. So series the two 2 ohm voice coils and it should work perfectly.

Any experience with Stereorama in Clearwater?

I also wanted to know about Stereorama. They used to be really good.

Sub isn't very loud, ways to make it hit harder?

When you place a woofer in a sealed enclosure it has a resononat frequency based on the size of the enclosure. The free air resonance is the specification when it is not restricted by a certain enclosure volume. Below are the Thiele Small parameters and the results for a 12w3v3-4. Data Input...

    Alpine Type-X SWX-1242D

That speaker has a dual 4 ohm voice coil configuration. So if using only one of them it can either be a 2 ohm or an 8 ohm driver. If you use two of them you could achieve a final load of 1 ohm's to the amplifier. Being able to run daily at a given impedance is a function of the amplfier and...

Sub isn't very loud, ways to make it hit harder?

I recently removed a 12w3v3 that I was using in a sealed enclosure. I was not that impressed with it, as in the correct size enclosure it had a high resonant frequency. If you want to use the same speaker I would try using a ported enclosure.

    Old School Hifonics Subwoofers Pics

I never thought I would see those subwoofers again. Brings back memories of some of the older Hifonics ads with all of the power from the God's theme.

Alpine PDX Class D amps - How is the SQ?

BMW Sidewayz, The way I see it you can fit the PDX 1.600 and 2.150 in the same basic pysical space as the 450/4. I too have considered the Rockford t600-4. I really need more power for my sub so I am kind of deciding between these two. It seems overall the Alpine may be the way for me to go.

Alpine PDX Class D amps - How is the SQ?

I am considering switching my JL 450/4 to an Alpine PDX 1.600 and 2.150. I need more power for my sub, but I am concerned about sound quality loss. My problem is I am extremely limited for space and no other solution provides this much power output in such a small footprint.

    Rainbow Recommendation

I am considering upgrading my current 6.5" component system and all of the positive feedback on the Rainbow product is compelling. Without being able to audition the speakers it is hard to tell which model to go with, but I am considering the Vanadium 265 set and would like feedback on this set...
