Woops, missed that. Yea 2ohm comps are a little harder to come by than 4ohm subs.....

You said you have a 2ohm DVC wired to 4ohm load. You could just get a 4ohm SVC, which is available for pretty much any sub.

Making Your Own "music keg" from a spare Hard Drive

I may be able to offer some advice here. It sounds like you're wanting to build a carputer and interface it with the cd-changer on the HU. I thought about doing this same thing, so as to have unlimited music and have it be directly controlled through the HU, instead of needing a separate LCD...

I'd buy one on ebay, use it for what you want, then sell it back. If you do it well you should be able to manage little loss.

new to a lot of things need help with ohms

I suppose you could wire the 8/10's in series for a 8ohm load, then wire this in parallel with the 15" for a 4ohm total load. I have no idea if this would sound good.

    Reference Songs

I would 2nd the 'pretty much anything by Delerium'. Most of Radiohead also has AT LEAST as many intricacies. I'd probably start with OK Computer or Kid A. Also Dark Side of the Moon has been used as a reference cd for decades. I like to use Sublime and Cypress Hill for bassline checks. Mike...

Any news from Ant? I guess I could just call him when I'm ready to buy. I'm pretty sure I'm going with SS, I was just hoping to clear the confusion up. Ryan

    Should I be ANGRY!?!?!?

Put it back up for auction w/ a $125 reserve (to cover shipping loses). If it sells, then you can start from square-one. If not, you're out $1 and you can take that as a sign to keep it. Of course, it may sell and you'll never be able to find that deal again..... Or you could send the winner...

    Insurance help

You could save a ton of money by switching to Geico...... Progressive was the cheapest I found, but you're probably not going to get much lower than that if you're trying to get full coverage on that car while you're 19. No one wants to insure that..... Too high-risk. It's really not...

    Sound deadener ASTM E756 ratings

Quote from req: "as we look at these numbers, im lead to believe the THICKNESS is the first numbers representation. the second is the 'dampning factor' or whatever." I thought that was refering to it's dampening ability at certain temperatures, hence: Dynamat Extreme: 0.081 @ +14F (-10C)...

Then what's up with STFU80? Why would anyone use it with a rating lower than Original Dynamat and a higher price tag?
