so the port was on the side of the box on the side to the right of the subs?

my subs face up now with the ports into the cab and its not as loud as it was with the subs rear facing

hello all i am going to build a custom box for my alero. it will be 2 boxes formed to the bottom of the trunk in glass and wood for the top. they will be about 4 cubic feet with 2 4" ports each. my problem is i dont know where to place my subs and ports so it will be loudest for competition...

i am currently running 2 mofo 15 and they hit hard and low. i dont know how loud i am but i know its over 140 with a lanzar 1600 watt amp. i have had the subs since they came out and have had no problems at all with them.
