turn the bass down in the head unit tothe speakers and turn the bass up on the amp to the subs

hey i have a question when i play a cd it sounds awsome it shacks the ground but as soon as i switch to the radio it looses it all bass sonds bad almost like to much

the amp is only 800 all together so i guess 400 max a side the subs are dvc 4ohm

i have two hollowood exursion subs 400wrms 800max i am running them postitive to positve negative to negative on both then to the amp the amp is a kenwood 2 ch 800watt model 7201 is this the best way to do it and also what is the best type of box to use i dont know alot but need help please.

what do you mean one sounds weird did you get the polarity right
