Finally put this together. Now, I just have to wait for the subwoofer to get shipped. Also, don't make my mistake and buy your wood from Lowes, it was so wavy I could have surfed on it.

It was in a sealed box. I've had a few systems over the years,and this is the first time I have had a blown subwoofer, so I'm pretty sure it was due to a little neglect.

I'm pretty sure it blew because of clipping. I set the gain with a multimeter, but my son was driving my car for a bit, and I learned afterward he would drive the head unit volume to the maximum volume because I neglected to tell him not to go past where I set it.

I'm looking for a similar sub in price (~$300) and performance to a 12" Wolfram Ag, since the one I have is toast and they are sold out on the site. My amp is an NVX-VAD1000.1.
