    Thanks n2audio, those are the sort of response's that help. When you say siblings of the aforementioned brands do you mean they are just rebadged/rebranded but use the same boards? Did you drive speakers... if so which ones and how are the noise filtering capabilities?

    The sound is pretty much similar cos they are on the same platform. I prefer cleaner sound and not to mess with the HU settings. With the extra 70$ I could get better wires:)

    Yeah like 60$ more. My main requirement is usb and the one im looking at is about 160$ with ipod, usb, 4 volts, 3 pre-outs. The other is 230$ only difference 7 band eq. Both are pioneer :p

    I got me the same. Prices are going up by about a 100$ in a few months due to cost of materials. So try and pick them up now while its in stock.

    Leaving aside other factors.. would you pay about 30% more for an almost identical HU from the same manufacturer just because it had a 7 band EQ ??
