the noise reducer will screw up your sound quality to the point where you might as well play your MP3 with headphones...The amp might have a cooked rca ground in it..it was pretty common when the amp lost ground it would try to ground through the rca's and burn the ground on the board also might...

soundstream's are notorious for having weak power supplies...good sound quality though..I don't care which version of a soundstream u have..on subs it's a time bomb ticking...the Tarantula series weren't the best to start with...I fixed a Van gogh VGA600.2 and I found out looking at the service...

Usually when Rockford takes a amp in they just swap out the board for another one..its a good deal..send it to them...When dealing with them..they wont take in just any amp for repair..and I mean there are some of their own they wont take..if they are willing to work on it..you should do it...

your best bet is to not mention me!I think his biggest issue with parting with the broken ones is he doesn't want to see anyone else fix them and possibly make money...He's very attached to them...broken or not...
