well thanxs for your help, maybe someone else will be able to tell me more about it, the rms on the subs is 750, it is still under warranty and they did suggest putting a fan on it but I don't know if that will help...has anyone ever done this and did it help with the over heating

o gage wire, grounded to the frame, its running @1ohm the amp is made to run @1ohm

I have a DB spa1250.1 amp running @ 1ohm with 2 10" db platinum subs. they replaced the amp because it was over heating, but this new one does the same thing, is it normal for an amp to shut down after playing it hard for 30 minutes to cool off, don't know what it could be and any help would be...
