    i see, but the problem is all the wiring terminates into a plug which then goes to the harness. would i have to cut the speaker wires before the terminating plug or is there a way around this?

    I don't plan on putting in an amp. So are you saying i should just cut the main line? would a haynes/chilton manual have the specific wiring labels for this?
