Mine came right out with the tool...Keep trying it from different angles or whatever, it should eventually come out. Just don't force anything.

I have ONE type R 12" running on 350 watts and it is sometimes TOO loud for me and I have to turn it down. Four would probably make some heads explode...Be careful what you wish for because they are some LOUD subs.

I ordered an Alpine mrp-m350 for my type r, everybody I spoke to told me it was a perfect match for the 12" dvc 4ohm type r. It puts out 350 rms at 2ohm...perfect for the type r...I'm going to be completing the install on friday and Ill let you know how it sounds.
