I listen to mainly techno or reggae/island music. Not sure what you mean by rebass. Hoping to finish the install today. Will probably be asking more questions soon because I've never messed with an amp that has bass boost like this one does. I appreciate the help guys.
Thanks. Also, seems like some online guides say to leave the speakers hooked up when you test the voltage, some say keep them disconnected. What's the general consensus on here?
I am wiring up my SD2-12 D4 Dual 4ohm sub to the Audiopipe APSM 1500. I have the sub wired so that it is 2ohms. The sub calls for 500 watts and the amp supposedly puts out 1000 watts at 2ohms. So, is the limit on the sub 500 watts regardless of whether it's 2ohms or 8ohms? Trying to figure out...
Well got the amp and wire kit today. 0 gauge was way overkill. I was planning on using the left over wire for the big three so not a big deal. Not looking forward to trying to fit it through the firewall though. There is an external amp so I'll down grade that gauge on the outlet side.
Just wondering if I need to order some wire reducers before my amp gets here. I have a 0 gauge wiring kit on the way and I know that the amp calls for 2-4 gauge. Most folks online say they ran 0 gauge but don't say how they run it. Do I need the reducers or will the 0 gauge squeeze in there?
I tried checking out WinId and didn't have a whole lot of luck making heads or tails out of it. I was gonna have a local shop here make a custom box but they start at $250 for a bare bones box. Anyone who is good at the program mind giving me some numbers? I am looking at building a single...
Well ordered from woofersetc.com anyway. Contacted all the places and dealer reps that were recommended on here. Wooferetc was still the cheapest shipping. Upgraded to the SD2-12 though. Shipping still cost me $70.
After digging around, I see folks on here recommending the 1500 and the 3500 but I haven't seen anything about the 2500. I have me eye on the 2500 and was just wondering if there was something about it that made it not popular on here.
