Hi, I wired in a Sub to my car but the volume on the Sub is not going up and down with the stereos volume , I have the RCA leads in the sub out sockets of the radio so not sure where im going wrong , Its a cheap china unit but ther rest of the bits on it are ok so cant see why the sub out...

Iv got a ground wire going from a known good and tested earth point tapped into the headunits own loom ground cable and still the same

spend another 3 hours on this , re earthed everything to a known good earth point , No change Its going in the bin

Ok so update on this , Checked all the wiring and factory loom drops power as it starts the engine , nothing wrong with this its just how it works , old cd player was fine with it rebooted and worked , last cars CD player did same and never lost sound after coming back on. Checked factory amp...

Think i had it a bix mixed up earlier , The suggestions from the Z forum was/is to wire a live from the battery to the permanent live on the head unit's loom , Bypassing the cars perm live and hopefully cutting out the spike issues , il give this a try tonight , fusing the cable and see how it...

Actually worked this morning all the way to work then when i turned the car off and on no sound ! I could maybe bypass the power wiring and run it to the battery or run both power wires to the perm live on a switch so its not on all the time but not sure on the amp's power since its built in...
