Just got my AMP in and I can't seem to get my hands on an AC Voltimeter Is there any way to set the gain with out damaging my speakers? (Profile AP1200 200 wrms per channel, 2 channel; 2 10" RF punch stage 1, 150 wrms) Thanks

I have a Profile AP1200 powering 2 RF punch stage 1 subs, one sub connected to each channel @ 200 watts rms(4 ohms). However, the subs RMS is rated at 150 watts. How would I go about making the formula for this? Would it be sqrt(200*4) ; sqrt(400*4) ; sqrt(150*4) ; or sqrt(300*4) Thanks

I have a Profile AP1200 comming tuesday, but this amp I have right now will have to do I suppose

Currently I have 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 1 (150 watts rms) and I am using an ancient Jensen 100 watt x 2 amp (40 watts rms per channel). So far I havent cranked it up much, but if I do, do I risk hurting the subwoofer or the amp, possibly both? Thanks

my walmart has a pretty limited supply of everything, the biggest wire kits they have is 8 gauge unfortunately

One more question... since my amp is pretty low watts, and the subs rms range is 50-150, would it hurt the sub cranking it up pretty loud , or would it just most likely cause the amp to over heat?

I was really supprised that the 40 watts rms per channel jensen actually puts out sound through the woofers Right now im following some "break-in" rules that crutchfield suggested that I follow. They said I should play the subs at a low volume for 20 hours total so they last longer and...

Ok... bad news, I just checked under the hook of my truck, and it's actually 10 gauge wire comming off of the battery to the amp. So... would I definetly have to change my wire now that its 10 gauge and not 8?

What are some consequences that could happen from not changing to the recommended 4 gauge?
