But it only does that with one speaker. Are you saying that it can effect the sound of all 4 speakers?

This could be it. There's a negative truck speaker wire that if you touch it to any of the radio speaker wires everything goes silent. And sound plays with only the positive wire as in you don't need both the negative and the positive to make the speaker work. And if I don't ground that negative...
