Okay so I have a 2000 watt alpine amp running 2 10" x series. Wires are all 4 gage. Whenever the volume is turned up loud the bass just cuts right out. The amp doesnt go into protect I dont think. The light on top just dims. The fuse I have on my power wire is really close to the amp as apposed...

yeah the power light turns off so it must go into protect
