i have an alpine 7873 deck some crapo 500w amp from ebay a sony cd changer hooked up through rmfm modulator and a 500w pioneer premeir 12" that ive had for about 4 years. anything else that will help not solve my problem?

it was supposed to help since i thought i just had crappy cables. but i retested everything just now and the amp actually shuts off when both channels are plugged in. i have a distribution block for power and ground so i didnt have to disconnect anything. i have everything in the trunk- cd...

about two weeks ago i decided to clean out the trunk and run the wires to my amp and sub under the carpet rather then hiding them. ive had the same head unit sub and amp for about a year now with no problems really. so i took the sub and the amp out of the trunk ran all my wires into the trunk...
