its a nightshade 18, tuned to 32 hz in the trunk of my caprice... the box is like 6.3ft^3 the box is 56 inches long! port area is 140... it pretty much dominates the low end, higher frequencis are decent. altho i have been into car audio about 10 yrs, yhis is my 1st box, and im proud of her

im am about to build my box for the nightshade 18 and i am wondering how much port area is too much for daily driving. im plugging in my dimensions in the RE box calc, and it seems as if something's wrong... basically im getting 116 for sqaure port area... any help would be greatly appreciated

it's still quite impressive to me. i have always been a fan of high excursion styled subs... im just tryna figure out how the hell they made these subs. and where the hell can i buy one of these prototypes to B.S. around with. particularly,the jl coned one. that had to be **** near4" of travel...

prolly because my car already has a natural squat on the a55 end and with a full tank of gas {25 gallon tank} and a heavy 18 box with sub may be issues for me in the future

i have been out of the car audio game for a few years, but im back for good. anyway, i just picked up a nightshade 18" for $250. im looking on their webesite and im trying to figure out how much this thing weighs. i kno it isnt as heavy as my old TI PRO 15, and no where near the weight of my LMS...
