I am replacing the speakers in my 2010 crown vic. I have previously had some infinity kappa 6x9s 2 ways in my old impala, I though they were very clear but a little too harsh on the high end for me, kind of brittle and just too bright with not enough low end kept the high pass filter around...

Anybody have any experience with any of their lines? I heard a set in my friends ride and I havent heard anything that has sounded that good. Just cant find a dealer online.

ok so if its a dual voice 4ohm I can run it at 2 ohms?

Can I take 1 4 ohm type r and run it at 2 ohms with a monoblock or should I just get the 2 ohm sub?

So I see they make a 2 ohm and a 4 ohm type are. my question is can I run the 4 ohm at 2? I know I cant run the 2 at 4.

So I'm getting another 10" type X (my first gen was stolen) and I was wondering which amp would be better a MRX M110 or a MRP1000? I was running my old sub at 2 ohms, is that the best for this type of set up?

Also the box fits perfectly in the spare tire indent in the trunk, which is the best way to have the speaker facing? To the rear of the car or straight up towards the truck lid?

Boulder/Longmont area. Id imagine it went through an EZpawn down by 84th cause thats where all the dope is or got traded straight up. It was in a plain wood box no carpet.

reading about the big three, I dont think I have a battery ground to chassis wire. I used a ground stud in the trunk, (ex cop car). Id have to look at the chassis to engine and alternator cables, never messed with them.

I really, really, liked how clean and punchy the type x was I may be open to others but out of all the systems Ive heard the X sounded best to my ears. I have 4 gauge power and ground but I did have a fuse in the power line to the amp, in between the fuse and the amp was about a foot of 8 gauge...

So I came back from vacation to find my rca's hanging out of the back of my car.... Anyways I had a 10" type X, alpine mrp 650 and a 2.5 farad cap. all gone. I was so happy with the speaker I will be getting another even though mine was the older more expensive version. My first question is...
