It does even whe the car in on not running and when its on and running. Its a JL 500.1. I tried it with another JL amp and a MTX amp and it did the came thing with all 3 amps.

it doesnt go into protect mode, it shows it has power, it doesnt stop playing once its workng. it will not come back on if i shut the car off. i have to remove the power or ground and reconnect which ever on i unplug

I finally got a new JL 12w6. Everything is wired up correctly and im getting proper voltage at power, ground, and remote wire. When i start the car or just turn on the car they amp shows it has power, but there will be now sound coming from the sub. I double and triple checked all the wiring...
